Circulair Geld: workshops

February 26 @ 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Plaatje

Is it possible to create a circular economy in a system that is targeting economic growth? What values do we want to articulate in our future society? In three workshops we want to dive deeper into fundamental solutions for a regional and circular economy on February 26 at Pakhuis de Zwijger.

In a circular economy waste is history. However, let us go beyond resources and materials: also financial and social cycles need to be restored to create a circular and sustainable society. Not only the piling up of waste, but also the accumulation of money and the corresponding growth of inequality are at the core of the problem.

Fundamental solutions to these disturbances exist, but can only be considered when we are capable of seeing the circular economy in a broader perspective. Therefore, this afternoon we take you on a trip beyond economic, and financial structures as we know them and take the circular case to revise our reciprocal networks fundamentally.

In three workshops (in Dutch) three lines of solutions are explored. One of the three workshops (in Dutch) is organized by our team member Elisa Achterberg. The workshop focuses on the requirements of our monetary system to stimulate circular behaviour: circular money. How can our money system stimulate the key characteristics of the circular economy? Find information about the workshops and registration here.

The afternoon workshops will be followed by an evening public debate. Read more about the evening program here.
