Stanislan Jourdan

Stanislas Jourdan is a policy expert in central banking and sustainable finance. As a research associate with the Sustainable Finance Lab, Stan leads research and advocacy on green monetary policy, particularly focusing on the feasibility of introducing a taxonomy-based green interest rate policy by the European Central Bank.

Stan began his career as a journalist in Paris, where covering the Eurozone debt crisis heightened his awareness of the powerful role of central banks. From 2015 to 2023, he worked for the international NGO Positive Money, spearheading the establishment of its Brussels-based office. In a previous life, he also coordinated a EU-wide citizens’ initiative on universal basic income, and serves as a Board member of the French Movement for Basic Income, which he co-founded in 2013.
