Brenda Kramer

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money (cree indian proverb).

Brenda is executive director of the Sustainable Finance Lab since 1 June 2024. Even though we cannot eat money, she is driven by the belief that the way we spend it determines our lives and our future. With the work at SFL we contribute to building a future that serves humanity without depleting its environment.

Previous to her role at SFL Brenda worked as economist for the Ministry of Finance, the European Commission and the Central Bank and as a Senior Advisor on responsible investment at PGGM. She was also a core member of the EU Platform on Sustainable Finance. Brenda holds a Masters degree in Economics (cum laude) and European Studies.
