Aleksandar Simić is a researcher at the Sustainable Finance Lab. He works predominantly on green central banking. Most of his work focuses on monetary policy (green interest rate, the ECB’s collateral framework, and asset purchase programmes), but he has also published on climate- and nature-related financial supervision.
More recently, Aleksandar has researched crypto-assets and central bank digital currencies. He has been active in the debate around the digital euro.
Aleksandar’s other work includes reform of the international financial architecture, the use of climate scenarios in the financial sector, and the legal mandate of the ECB
